Our servers use the FreeBSD operating system, a derivative of the UNIX operating system. FreeBSD powers some of the world's largest web sites and offers clients increased performance, speed, as well as being an extremely flexible operating system.

Service Reliability

Your web site will be hosted on our high-end Dell powered servers, located in one of Canberra's most secure facilities. Backed by redundant connections to Sydney and Melbourne, uninterruptible power supply and a backup generator, your website will always be available. We currently boast a 99.9% uptime.

Anti-virus & Anti-spam

Every one of our hosting packages offers a comprehensive anti-virus scanning facility along with an extensive email filter that identifies spam (unsolicited bulk email) on all incoming emails. Your incoming emails will automatically be scanned for over 20,000 various types of viruses, worms and Trojans. This service will significantly minimise the risk of you receiving "infected" or "unsolicited" emails.

Security

We don't leave security to chance. Our equipment is housed in a secure, fully climate and humidity controlled environment with backup UPS and generator power. The facility also has a Very Early Smoke Detection Agent (VESDA) as well as a gas suppression system. These systems are vital for the protection of your data in the event of a major disaster.

Backups

Because your data is important to us we have rigid data backup and disaster recovery procedures in place. Backups of our client's websites are done on a daily basis, and as an extra precaution, replicated onto
DVD-R's weekly and stored in a secure off-site location. These measures ensure that, in the event of an unlikely system failure, a copy of your web site content is immediately at hand.
